National Theatre at Home, the theatrical streaming service, has announced the addition of “Prima Facie” to its platform in celebration of its fourth anniversary. Beginning Dec. 12, the Jodie Comer-starrer will be available for a limited time. The end date has not yet been announced.

Written by Suzie Miller, “Prima Facie” was originally captured during its 2022 West End run at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London. That production, directed by Justin Martin, transferred to Broadway in 2023, earning four Tony Award nominations — with Comer winning for best actress in a play — and recouping its investment.

Over 835,000 viewers have watched the London staging, following its recent re-release through National Theatre Live.

The one-woman play follows Tessa, a young barrister played by Comer, who has risen from humble beginnings to become a successful defender in the courtroom. But after an attack, Tessa must confront the shortcomings of a system she has dedicated her life to. A film adaptation, led by “Wicked” movie star Cynthia Erivo, was previously announced.

National Theatre at home offers access to over 90 productions from London’s National Theatre. Recently added new titles include “Present Laughter,” “The Grapes of Wrath” and “Nye,” the latter of which stars Michael Sheen. The platform is offering a 20 percent discount on annual subscriptions through Dec. 8, using the code BIRTHDAY4 at checkout.

All titles on the platform are captioned, with more than 85 percent offering audio description. National Theatre at Home is supported by headline sponsor Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Linbury Trust.
