Owned media? What’s that?

If press coverage is earned media and advertising is paid media, then what is owned media?

Owned media are all the methods of communication that your show... owns. Unlike paid media, you don't need to pay a media outlet (like the New York Times or Meta) to deliver your message to your following. And unlike earned media, you (not a journalist or critic) control the message. Today, we'll define a few examples of owned media that the Pekoe Group creates for our clients.

Website

The first owned media asset your show is likely to have is a website. Your website will be built bespoke for your show. As you know, a website allows fans to consume information, listen to the cast recording, find tickets and more. The style, information organization and content will be chosen and approved by you. A website can also collect data from its visitors, providing you with insights about who your ticket buyers are and how they behave on the internet. Your show’s website is a true, owned asset and a powerful way to connect with the world.
