The Broadway revival of “Cabaret” will welcome a new pair of star players this spring. Beginning on March 31, Orville Peck will step into the role of the Emcee and Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada will take over the role of Sally Bowles. The duo will remain with the production at the August Wilson Theatre through July 20. Peck and Noblezada will succeed Adam Lambert and Auliʻi Cravalho, respectively, who will depart the Rebecca Frecknall-helmed production on March 29.

“Cabaret” will mark the Broadway debut of Peck, who is known for his work in the country music world, frequently performing wearing a mask. His albums include “Pony,” “Bronco” and “Stampede.” No stranger to legit theater, Peck made his West End debut in “Peter Pan Goes Wrong.”

“The Emcee has been my dream role since I was a teenager,” said Peck in a statement. “I grew up in the theater. I was a working actor and a dancer for many years before I started making music. It taught me so much of who I am as a performer and a person, so it feels very full circle to be making a return to it at this point in my career.”

Noblezada is a two-time Tony nominee for leading turns in “Miss Saigon” as well as in “Hadestown,” a performance she will reprise in the West End mounting in February. As previously reported, Noblezada will conclude her run originating the role of Daisy Buchanan in the 2024 Main Stem adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” on Jan. 30.

Like Peck, performing in “Cabaret” has been a longtime dream for Noblezada. “While studying musical theater in school, ‘Cabaret’ always stood out,” explained Noblezada. “I was, and am, amazed by the lineage of theater royalty who have been in the show. And Sally Bowles to me is simply…fascinating.”

The pair will appear alongside a company that includes Calvin Leon Smith as Clifford Bradshaw, Bebe Neuwirth as Fraulein Schneider, Steven Skybell as Herr Schultz, Michelle Aravena as Fritzie/Kost and Henry Gottfried as Ernst Ludwig. Casting is by Bernard Telsey and Kristian Charbonier.

“Cabaret” features a Tony-winning score by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff based on both John Van Druten’s play “I Am a Camera” and stories by Christopher Isherwood. The 1930s Germany-set musical follows the development of the relationship between American writer Clifford Bradshaw and Kit Kat Club performer Sally Bowles amid the rise of the Third Reich.

Following previews that began on April 1, “Cabaret” opened on April 21 and received nine 2024 Tony nominations, including a nod for Best Revival of a Musical. Scenic designer Tom Scutt took  home a trophy for his scenic design, which included an interior transformation of the August Wilson Theatre.

“Cabaret” is produced by ATG Productions, Underbelly, Gavin Kalin Productions, Hunter Arnold, Smith & Brant Theatricals and Wessex Grove.
