Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has announced a new benefit called “Broadway Dream Roles.” The concert will feature Broadway actors performing songs from roles they either would love to play or came close to booking. The one-night event will take place on April 28 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares, this announcement marks an additional opportunity to raise monies for the nonprofit that provides access to medications, counseling, housing and other services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses. The 2025 edition of Broadway Cares’ “Broadway Backwards” recently raised a record-breaking $1.1 million, while “Broadway Bares” is slated for its annual performances in June.
Performers and special guests for “Broadway Dream Roles” will be announced.
“Broadway Dream Roles” is being sponsored by the New York Times and United Airlines.
