The Broadway mounting of “Oh, Mary!” has extended again. The Cole Escola comedy will now run through Jan. 19, 2025 at the Lyceum Theatre, marking the second extension for the Sam Pinkleton-helmed production. The production was originally announced as a limited engagement through Sept. 15, but was first extended to Nov. 10.

Following a similarly twice-extended run Off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, “Oh, Mary!” began Broadway previews on June 26 and opened on July 11. “Oh, Mary!” is the only production to gross more than $1 million in a single week at the 121-year old Lyceum, breaking its own record-high gross four weeks in a row. As of the week ending Sept. 15, the production has played to 100% capacity every week since the week ending July 7.

“Oh, Mary!” puts the spotlight on Mary Todd Lincoln, who reluctantly gave up her career as a mid-1800s cabaret star upon marrying Abraham Lincoln. The play follows Mary’s antics leading up to Lincoln’s assassination.

Beyond serving as playwright, Escola stars as Mary, alongside Conrad Ricamora as Mary’s husband, James Scully as Mary’s teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s husband’s assistant.

“Oh, Mary!” is produced by Kevin McCollum, Lucas McMahon, Mike Lavoie and Carlee Briglia.
