The Broadway mounting of “Oh, Mary!” has announced a two-month extension. Originally scheduled as a limited run through Sept. 15, the new comedy by Cole Escola will run through Nov. 10 at the Lyceum Theatre. Following previews that began on June 26, the production opened on July 11.
Directed by Sam Pinkleton, “Oh, Mary!” chronicles the antics of cabaret-star-turned-first-lady Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to the assassination of her husband, Abraham Lincoln. The production played a twice-extended Off-Broadway run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in spring 2024.
Escola leads the cast as Mary, with Conrad Ricamora as Mary’s husband, James Scully as Mary’s teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s husband’s assistant. All original cast members will remain with the production through the extension.
“Oh, Mary!” is produced by Kevin McCollum, Lucas McMahon, Mike Lavoie and Carlee Briglia.
