Nick Kroll is returning to Broadway. Kroll will appear in “All In: Comedy About Love” from Jan. 14, 2025 through Feb. 2, replacing the previously announced Sam Richardson. Also newly revealed is the play’s opening-night date of Dec. 22, following the previously announced start of previews on Dec. 11 at the Hudson Theatre. The Alex Timbers-helmed play is scheduled for a limited engagement through Feb. 16.
Kroll made his Broadway debut in 2016’s “Oh, Hello on Broadway,” which he co-wrote with John Mulaney, who will also appear in “All In.” Kroll’s television credits include “The League,” as well as starring in and creating “Kroll Show.” Additionally, Kroll co-created the animated series “Big Mouth,” for which he also voices multiple characters.
“All In: Comedy About Love” features a cast of four; each actor will appear for a limited stint.
Kroll’s tenure will coincide with Lin-Manuel Miranda (Jan. 14-Feb. 16), Aidy Bryant (Jan. 14-Feb. 2), Andrew Rannells (Jan. 14-26) and Jimmy Fallon (Jan. 28-Feb. 2).
The previously announced opening-night company of “All In” comprises Mulaney, Fred Armisen and Richard Kind, all of whom will perform from Dec. 11, 2024-Jan. 12, 2025, in addition to Renée Elise Goldsberry (Dec. 11-29). Rounding out the company are Chloe Fineman (Dec. 30-Jan. 12), David Cross (Feb. 4-9), Annaleigh Ashford (Feb. 4-16), Tim Meadows (Feb. 4-16) and Hank Azaria (Feb. 11-16). Casting is by Taylor Williams.
Based on stories Rich originally wrote for the New Yorker, “All In” features comedic vignettes about relationships, love and marriage. As previously announced, the musical duo the Bengsons will appear in the production, singing songs by the Magnetic Fields.
“All In: Comedy About Love” is being produced by Seaview, Lorne Michaels, New York Studios and Broadway Video (Micah Frank and Caroline Maroney).
