A filmed performance of the Broadway musical “Mr. Saturday Night,” starring Billy Crystal, will be available to stream on BroadwayHD beginning on Dec. 1.
The musical, adapted from the 1992 film also starring Crystal, began previews at the Nederlander Theatre on Mar. 29 and opened on Apr. 27. It closed on Sept. 4 after 28 previews and 116 performances.

In addition to Crystal, the cast included Randy Graff, David Paymer, Shoshana Bean, Chasten Harmon, Jordan Gelber, Brian Gonzales and Mylinda Hull.
“Mr. Saturday Night” features a score by Jason Robert Brown and lyrics by Amanda Green. Crystal co-wrote the book for the musical with Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel; all three had co-penned the film’s screenplay. The musical was directed by John Rando.
“Mr. Saturday Night” was nominated for five 2022 Tony Awards and three 2022 Drama Desk Awards. It was produced on Broadway by James L. Nederlander and Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.
