Principal casting is now complete for the upcoming Broadway revival of David Mamet’s “Glengarry Glen Ross.” The previously announced production, helmed by Patrick Marber, will open in spring 2025 at a theater to be announced. Newly announced company members include Michael McKean as George Aaronow, Donald Webber Jr. as John Williamson, Howard W. Overshown as Baylen and John Pirruccello as James Lingk.
McKean’s Broadway career encompasses three decades, from his debut in 1990’s “Accomplice” to his most recent appearance in the 2017 revival of “The Little Foxes.” On television, he is known for his roles in “Laverne and Shirley” and “Better Call Saul,” the latter of which earned McKean a 2019 Emmy Award nomination.
“Glengarry” will mark the second Main Stem credit for Webber in the 2024-2025 season; he plays Simon Stimson in the currently running revival of “Our Town.” His Broadway résumé also comprises performances in “Purlie Victorious,” “Holler if Ya Hear Me, “Hamilton” and “Motown,” the latter two shows he also played on national tour.
Overshown appeared in “A Soldier’s Play” on Broadway and on the road. Additional Main Stem credits include “The Lehman Trilogy,” “Saint Joan,” “A Free Man of Color” and “Julius Caesar.”
Pirruccello will make his inaugural Broadway appearance in “Glengarry.” In addition to his extensive voiceover credits, his screen performances include “Phil Spector,” “Incarnate,” “Nash Bridges,” “Two and a Half Men” and the 2017 reboot of “Twin Peaks.”
They will appear in “Glengarry” alongside the previously announced Kieran Culkin as Richard Roma, Bob Odenkirk (McKean’s “Better Call Saul” co-star) as Shelly Levene and Bill Burr as Dave Moses.
“Glengarry Glen Ross” chronicles four desperate Chicago real estate salespeople who compete to sell undesirable properties to unwitting customers. This mounting will mark the third revival of the 1984 winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Best Play Tony Award nominee.
The production’s venue, timeline and creative team will be announced.
“Glengarry Glen Ross” is being produced by Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold.
