Annelies Crowe has been promoted and Anna Fox has joined the company.

Live entertainment producer Michael Cassel Group has announced two appointments to the organization’s production and creative development teams. Annelies Crowe has been promoted to deputy head of production. Anna Fox has been appointed creative development manager.

Michael Cassel Group produces theater, live entertainment experiences, marquee events and concerts. Headquartered in Sydney, the company produces theater around the world. Currently, the company is a co-producer of “MJ” on Broadway. Recent Main Stem credits also includes lead producer of “Almost Famous” and co-producer of the 2022 revival of “Into the Woods.” The team also produced the West End premiere of Sydney Theatre Company’s acclaimed production of “The Picture of Dorian Gray” at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, starring Sarah Snook.

Crowe was the associate producer for the Australian and international tours of “Hamilton” and “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.” In this new role, Crowe will oversee all Australian productions, including the Australian premieres of “Titanique,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” “MJ” and “Beetlejuice” and the highly anticipated return of “Hamilton” to Sydney.

Crowe, who previously held senior production roles with Sydney Theatre Company, reports to Todd Lacy, head of production, who will continue to oversee all production activity, including the company’s global roll out of original content and major international tours.

In a statement, Cassel said: “Annelies’ pursuit of excellence, her unwavering commitment to ensuring our productions are world class, her inexhaustible passion for theatre and her incredible leadership skills make her the ideal person to shepherd our Australian slate from concept to completion.”

Additionally, Fox has been appointed creative development manager, based in London. Fox is a director, dramaturg and writer who has more than a decade of experience in regional, international and West End theater. Most recently she served as the associate director of the musical “& Juliet” in the United Kingdom and Australia. She reports to head of creative development Jane Abramson, who is based in New York.

“With a number of development projects now underway in London, we absolutely knew we wanted Anna to join our team to lead this charge,” Cassel said. “With Jane in New York, Anna in London, and the entire Michael Cassel Group teams in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore, we are able to nurture and support our development projects and creative partners around the world.”

Crowe and Fox have both commenced in their new roles.
