After missing multiple performances of the newly opened play “The Roommate,” star Mia Farrow returned for the evening performance on Sept. 19.

Farrow stars as Sharon, a 65-year-old divorcée who welcomes a new roommate, Robyn (played by Patti LuPone), into her Iowa home. The pair opened in “The Roommate,” directed by Jack O’Brien, on Sept. 12.

Farrow tested positive for COVID-19 on Sept 14., which led to the cancellation of both performances on that date. Since Sept. 15, four-time Academy Award nominee Marsha Mason, who is also the play’s associate director, stepped in for Farrow.

“The Roommate” continues its limited run at the Booth Theatre. It is produced by Chris Harper, Nelle Nugent and Kenneth Teaton.
