The Broadway musical “Mean Girls” celebrated the holiday of Oct. 3, unofficially inducted into popular culture by the film and officially declared a holiday in New York by the state assembly last year, with a taco truck and a Facebook livestream of the 2004 film, with commentary from Tina Fey and Busy Phillips.
All attendees of the Broadway performance Thursday night received free tacos, courtesy of a Taco Bell truck parked outside the August Wilson Theatre, in homage to another line in the film.
“Mean Girls” partnered with Paramount Pictures and Facebook to stream the movie. The musical opened on Broadway on April 8, 2018.
