This announcement will mark a reunion for Matthew James Thomas and Kristen Martin, both of whom made their Broadway debuts in “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” at the Lyric (under its former name Foxwoods Theatre). Thomas has since appeared on the Main Stem as the title role in the 2013 revival of “Pippin” and the 2017 revival of “Time and the Conways” while Martin has appeared in “Wicked.”

Christopher and Ayanna Nicole Thomas both made Main Stem appearances during the 2023-2024 season. Christopher performed in “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding” while Thomas performed in “How to Dance in Ohio.”

“Harry Potter” will mark the fifth play on Killough’s résumé, having appeared in “Leopoldstadt,” “The Lehman Trilogy,” “Travesties” and “Long Day’s Journey into Night.”

“Harry Potter” will mark the Broadway debut of Serino, who graduated with a BFA in acting from Emerson College in 2024.

Also newly announced are ensemble members Megan Byrne, Maxim Chlumecky, James Cribbins, Janae Hammond, Sophie Hearn, Zachary Lindberg, Jay Mack, Bradley Patchett, Dan Plehal, Isaac Phaman Reynolds, Allie Re, Khadija Tariyan, Julius Williams and Riley Thad Young, all of whom will also join the production on Nov. 12.

They will join current cast members Daniel Fredrick as Ron Weasley, Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy, Erik Christopher Peterson as Scorpius Malfoy and ensemble members Chadd Alexander, John Alix, Ted Deasy, Kira Fath, Gary-Kayi Fletcher, Eleasha Gamble, Logan James Hall, Abbi Hawk, Chance Marshaun Hill, Alexandra Peter, Kira Player, Gabrielle Reid, Stephen Spinella and Tom Stephens. Casting is by Jim Carnahan.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” follows the characters of the J.K. Rowling book series as they enter parenthood. The play opened on April 22, 2018, and was nominated for 10 Tony Awards in 2018, winning six, including the trophies for Best Musical and Tiffany’s direction. A national tour opened in September in Chicago.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions.
