Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC) artistic director Lynne Meadow will be honored with a state dinner by the Lotos Club on Jan. 22. She will receive the Lotos Medal of Merit.
Founded in 1870, the Lotos Club is one of the oldest artistic and literary clubs in the nation. In previous years, the Lotos Club has honored theatrical leaders such as Alfred Lunt, Lynn Fontanne, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein, Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Moss Hart, Helen Hayes, Stephen Sondheim, Carol Burnett, Angela Lansbury and Terence McNally with this same recognition.
