Additional replacement casting has been announced for the Broadway mounting of “All In: Comedy About Love.” As previously announced, the new play by Simon Rich will begin performances on Dec. 11 at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre for a limited engagement through Feb. 16, 2025.
Lin-Manuel Miranda has newly joined the four-person company from Jan. 14, 2025 through Feb. 16. Andrew Rannells will be a part of the company from Jan. 14 through 26, while Aidy Bryant and Sam Richardson will replace from Jan. 14 through Feb. 2.
Also newly announced is that Jimmy Fallon will play one week from Jan. 28 through Feb. 2; David Cross will also play one week, beginning on Feb. 4 and exiting on Feb. 9.
Tim Meadows will join the company from Feb. 4 through 16. Finally, Hank Azaria will join “All In” from Feb. 11 to 16.
Bryant and Meadows are known for their work on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL), for which they both received Emmy Award nominations. Bryant appeared on the show from 2012 to 2022, while Meadows’ tenure extended from 1991 to 2000.
Fallon has also appeared on “SNL,” having appeared on the show from 1998 to 2004. He has since hosted the talk show “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and is the current host of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
Emmy winners Cross and Richardson are also known for their work in television comedy. Cross starred in the HBO sketch comedy series “Mr. Show with Bob and David” and appeared on “Arrested Development.” He won an Emmy for his work writing “The Ben Stiller Show.” Richardson co-starred in both “Veep” and “Detroiters”; his appearances on “Ted Lasso” earned him a guest actor Emmy Award.
“All In” will mark the Broadway debut for Bryant, Meadows, Fallow, Cross and Richardson.
Miranda is no stranger to the Main Stem, having most recently appeared in “Freestyle Love Supreme,” which he co-created, earning a Special Tony Award as the show’s producer. Additionally, Miranda has twice won the Best Original Score Tony Award, first in 2008 for “In the Heights” and again in 2016 for “Hamilton,” the latter of which also earned him a statue for Best Book of a Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Rannells has earned two Tony nominations, first in 2011 for his leading turn in “The Book of Mormon” and again in 2017 for his featured role in “Falsettos.” He last appeared on Broadway in “Gutenberg! The Musical!” Rannells earned a Lead Actor in a Musical Olivier Award nomination for his performance in the West End mounting of “Tammy Faye.”
Azaria is a four-time Emmy winner for his voice work on “The Simpsons.” He made his Broadway debut in 2005’s “Spamalot,” which garnered him a Best Actor in a Musical Tony nomination.
They join the previously announced opening night company of John Mulaney, Fred Armisen, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Richard Kind. Mulaney, Armisen and Kind will appear from Dec. 11 through Jan. 12, 2025. Goldsberry will play from Dec. 11 through Dec. 30; she will be succeeded by Chloe Fineman from Jan. 2 through Jan. 12. Casting is by Taylor Williams.
Directed by Alex Timbers, “All In” features comedic vignettes about relationships, love and marriage, based on short stories Rich originally published in the New Yorker. As previously announced, the musical duo the Bengsons will appear in the production, singing songs by the Magnetic Fields.
“All In: Comedy About Love” is being produced by Seaview, Lorne Michaels, New York Studios and Broadway Video (Micah Frank and Caroline Maroney).
