The opening of “Lackawanna Blues” has been pushed by another week, Manhattan Theatre Club announced Monday.
The new press opening has been scheduled for Oct. 7, as star Ruben Santiago-Hudson continues to recover from a back injury. The injury, which was announced Friday, led to the cancellation of performances this past weekend and had initially pushed the opening date to Oct. 30.
“Lackawanna Blues” is written, performed and directed by Santiago-Hudson. The show began performances at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Sept. 14.
