Jordan Fisher will play his final performance as Anthony in “Sweeney Todd” on June 18, Broadway News has learned. A reason for his departure has not been given. A replacement is expected to be announced soon.
Fisher previously appeared on Broadway as the title character in “Dear Evan Hansen.” His other Main Stem credits include “Hamilton” and “Freestyle Love Supreme.”
Directed by Thomas Kail and starring Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford, “Sweeney Todd” opened at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26.
