Jordan Fisher, Maia Reficco and Phillip Boykin set final performance date in ‘Hadestown’

The principal players will exit the Tony Award-winning musical in January.

“Hadestown” has revealed the exit date for principals Jordan Fisher, Maia Reficco and Phillip Boykin. The trio will play their final performance as Orpheus, Eurydice and Hades, respectively, on Jan. 12, 2025, at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Replacements have not been named.

Fisher joined “Hadestown” in November 2023. He made his Broadway debut replacing in “Hamilton” as John Laurents/Philip Hamilton, and has subsequently appeared as the title role in “Dear Evan Hansen” and as Anthony in the 2023 revival of “Sweeney Todd.”

“Hadestown” marked the Main Stem debut of Reficco, whose stage credits include playing Young Eva Perón in New York City Center’s 2019 staging of “Evita.” She currently stars as Noa Oliver in the Max series “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.”

Boykin stepped into the role of Hades in September 2023. A Tony Award nominee for his featured turn in the 2012 revival of “Porgy and Bess,” Boykin has also appeared in Broadway revivals of “On the Town,” “Sunday in the Park with George,” “Once on This Island” and “The Music Man.”

Featuring a Tony-nominated book and Tony-winning score by Anaïs Mitchell, “Hadestown” is a modern retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. The Rachel Chavkin-helmed production opened on April 17, 2019 and was nominated for 14 Tonys, winning eight, including Best Musical and Best Director for Rachel Chavkin.

The current principal cast also includes Stephanie Mills as Hermes and Yola as Persephone, as well as Belén Moyano, Jessie Shelton and Brit West as the Fates.
