Broadway’s “Hell’s Kitchen” will welcome Jessica Vosk to the cast. Vosk will step into the role of Jersey beginning on Dec. 12 at the Shubert Theatre. As previously announced, Shoshana Bean, who earned a Tony Award nomination for originating the role of Jersey, will depart the musical on Dec. 1. Standby Donna Vivino will play the role in the interim before exiting the production on Dec. 11.

As is the case with both Bean and Vivino, Vosk is a veteran Elphaba in “Wicked,” having played the role first on a national tour and then in the Main Stem production during the show’s 15th anniversary in 2018. Vosk’s additional Broadway credits include “The Bridges of Madison County,” “Finding Neverland,” “Fiddler on the Roof” and one-night cameos in Kristin Chenoweth’s concert “For the Girls” and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Freestyle Love Supreme.” More recently, Vosk played Cee Cee in the Canadian premiere of “Beaches” and Jenna in the Muny’s production of “Waitress.”

In addition to Bean and Vivino, the current company of “Hell’s Kitchen” includes Maleah Joi Moon as Ali, Kecia Lewis as Miss Liza Jane, Brandon Victor Dixon as Davis and Chris Lee as Knuck (through Oct. 20); as previously announced, Phillip Johnson Richardson will succeed Lee on Oct. 22.

Featuring a score of preexisting and original songs by Alicia Keys and a Tony-nominated book by Kristoffer Diaz, the 1990s-set “Hell’s Kitchen” is a coming-of-age story which follows New York City teenager Ali as she discovers her piano-playing prowess while trying to assert her independence from her mother. “Hell’s Kitchen” began previews on March 28 and opened on April 20. The Michael Greif-helmed production was nominated for 13 Tony nominations, winning one each for Moon and Lewis.

“Hell’s Kitchen” is produced by AKW Productions.
