The filmed version of “Come From Away” will premiere on Apple TV+ Sept. 10.
The musical was shot at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in May 2021, with original cast member Jenn Colella starring as Beverley/Annette and others. Colella was joined by original Broadway cast members Petrina Bromley, playing Bonnie and others, Joel Hatch as Claude and others, Caesar Samayoa as Kevin J./Ali and others, Q. Smith as Hannah and others, Astrid Van Wieren as Beulah and others and Sharon Wheatley as Diane and others.
De’Lon Grant appeared as Bob and Others, Tony Lepage as Kevin T. and others, Emily Walton as Janie and others, Jim Walton as Nick/Doug and others and Paul Whitty as Oz and others. All have appeared in “Come From Away” at various points in its Broadway run.
The Broadway production is scheduled to resume performances Sept. 21.
The filmed production was directed by the musical’s director, Christopher Ashley, and shot by RadicalMedia. The musical is produced by eOne, a subsidiary of toy and entertainment company Hasbro and the musical’s Broadway producers, Junkyard Dog Productions.
Irene Sankoff and David Hein, who wrote the musical’s book and score, are serving as executive producers alongside RadicalMedia’s Jon Kamen, Dave Sirulnick and Meredith Bennett.
