Jeff Kready has temporarily stepped in for Christopher Fitzgerald in “Company” on Broadway.
Kready takes over the role of David in the revival of the Stephen Sondheim – George Furth musical through July 24.
“Christopher Fitzgerald is on a previously scheduled 3-week leave,” the production confirmed to Broadway News. “He will be back on 7/26 for the final week of performances of ‘Company.’”
Kready joined the cast last December amidst the Omicron variant surge.
He’ll perform alongside his real-life wife, Nikki Renee Daniels, who plays Jenny.
“Company” opened at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on March 2, 2020. It resumed previews following the industry shut down on Nov. 15, 2021, officially opening on Dec. 9.
The Tony-winning musical will play its final performance on July 31.
