“Jagged Little Pill,” a musical featuring the songs of Alanis Morissette, is coming to Broadway this fall, the producers announced Monday.
The musical will be directed by Diane Paulus and produced by Vivek J. Tiwary, Arvind Ethan David and Eva Price, who is bringing the “Oklahoma!” revival to Broadway this season. Diablo Cody, the screenwriter of “Juno,” wrote the book to the musical, which includes songs written by Morissette and Glen Ballard.
The exact theater and dates have not yet been announced.
The show’s creative team includes choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, music supervisor Tom Kitt, scenic designer Riccardo Hernadez, costume designer Emily Rebholz, lighting designer Justin Townsend, sound designer Jonathan Deans and video and projection designer Finn Ross.
Atlantic Records will release an original cast recording of the musical.
The musical had its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in the summer of 2018. “Jagged Little Pill” held a developmental lab in December 2018.
The Broadway cast has not yet been announced. The cast at A.R.T. included Elizabeth Stanley, Sean Allan Krill, Celia Gooding, Derek Klena and Lauren Patten.
A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, last updated in March 2018, has a capitalization of up to $14 million for the show.
