“Jagged Little Pill” and “American Utopia” were among the Broadway shows nominated for the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
The full list of nominees, announced by the Recording Academy Tuesday, includes the Off-Broadway cast recordings of “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Soft Power” and the West End cast recordings of “Amélie” and “Prince of Egypt.”
Additionally, “We are Freestyle Love Supreme,” the documentary about Lin-Manuel Miranda’s freestyle improv group, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music Film.
The 2021 Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place Jan. 31 on CBS. “The Daily Show’s” Trevor Noah will host the ceremony.
