You may not know the names of the latest recipients of the Prince Fellowship, but judging by the program’s track record for identifying and nurturing early-career producers: You will.

Up-and-comers George Strus and Eric Emauni are the latest in a line of Prince Fellows that over the years has included inaugural recipient Orin Wolf, the producer of the Tony-winning “The Band’s Visit” and the upcoming “Purple Rain,” as well as Rachel Sussman and Ben Holtzman, who each made a splash last season with projects they shepherded to Broadway with the help of the fellowship (Tony winner “Suffs” for Sussman and “How to Dance in Ohio” for Holtzman). In the years since its founding in 2005, the fellowship has become a significant force in making space in the tight-knit Broadway industry for new producing talent.
