Broadway’s box office soared during week 27 of the 2024-2025 season. Gross for the 39 currently running productions totaled $37,349,024, a figure that marked not only an 8.4% increase from the week prior (when 37 productions were playing) but also the second-highest-grossing week to-date of the season. Attendance increased 1% from the week ending Nov. 17, tallying 307,431 admissions, marking the best-attended week of the season. Capacity dipped 2.4%, with 84.8% of available seats in theaters filled.
The current amount of productions running is noteworthy. This week marked the largest number of shows playing Broadway in six years. The last time 39 productions were offered on the Main Stem was the week ending Dec. 30, 2018.
