Grosses analysis: Broadway offers 40 shows for first time in over six years

For the week ending April 13, the 40 currently running productions grossed $44,162,127.

Continuing a season-long trend, the 47th week of the 2024-2025 Broadway season rendered boffo box office business. Total gross for the Main Stem’s 40 currently running productions came to $44,162,127. This marked not only the fifth-highest-grossing week of the season, but also a  4.3% increase from the week prior (week ending April 6, when 39 shows were running). Attendance bumped up 1.9% from the previous week, with 328,926 admissions tallied. This indicates Broadway’s best-attended week of the season, in addition to the highest weekly admissions count since the week ending Dec. 29, 2019. Capacity remained constant (dipping 0.6%), with 90.4% of all available seats filled.
