The Broadway production of “Chicago” will welcome a new principal player. Greg Hildreth will step into the role of Amos Hart on Jan. 6. Hildreth will take over for Red Concepción, who will play his final performance in the role on Jan. 4.

Hildreth most recently appeared on Broadway as Peter in the 2021 revival of “Company.” Hildreth’s additional Broadway credits include originating the role of Olaf in “Frozen” as well as appearances in “The Rose Tattoo,” “Cinderella,” “Peter and the Starcatcher” and “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.” Hildreth has been seen Off-Broadway in “I Can Get It for You Wholesale,” “Hamlet” and “The Robber Bridegroom.”

In addition to Concepción, the current “Chicago” cast includes Bianca Marroquín as Roxie Hart (through Jan. 19), Kimberly Marable as Velma Kelly, Max von Essen as Billy Flynn and NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron “Mama” Morton. As previously reported, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne will return to the role of Roxie Hart on Jan. 20. Casting for “Chicago” is by ARC/Duncan Stewart.

Featuring a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse, “Chicago” is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. The musical opened on Nov. 14, 1996, and is the second-longest running show (play or musical) in Broadway history.
