The upcoming Broadway revival of “Glengarry Glen Ross” has revealed its venue and production timeline. The previously announced revival will begin previews on March 10, 2025 and open on March 31 at the Palace Theatre, the home of the recently closed “Tammy Faye.” The David Mamet drama is scheduled for a limited engagement through May 31.
“Glengarry Glen Ross” will be the first straight play presented at the Palace in over 40 years. The 111-year-old venue last hosted a straight play in 1981 when a David Dukes-led adaptation of “Frankenstein” opened.
Also newly announced is the creative team for the Patrick Marber-helmed “Glengarry,” which will include Tony Award-winning production designer Scott Pask and Tony-nominated lighting designer Jen Schriever. Barclay Stiff will serve as production stage manager.
As previously reported, the company of “Glengarry Glen Ross” will comprise Kieran Culkin as Richard Roma, Bob Odenkirk as Shelly Levene, Bill Burr as Dave Moses, Michael McKean as George Aaronow, Donald Webber Jr. as John Williamson, Howard W. Overshown as Baylen and John Pirruccello as James Lingk.
“Glengarry Glen Ross” chronicles four desperate Chicago real estate salespeople who compete to sell undesirable properties to unwitting customers. “Glengarry” won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the original Broadway production was nominated for a Best Play Tony Award. The play received prior Main Stem revivals in 2005 and 2012.
“Glengarry Glen Ross” is being produced by Jeffrey Richards, who produced the aforementioned two revivals, and served as the press representative for the original production.
