“Girl from the North Country” was the sole Broadway musical nominated for a 2022 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

The list of nominees in the category, announced by the Recording Academy Tuesday, includes Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cinderella,” which is currently playing in the West End, and the TikTok-inspired musical, “Unofficial Bridgerton Musical,” written by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear.

The full list of nominees includes Burt Bacharach and Steven Sater’s “Some Lovers,” a concept album of the new musical; “Les Misérables: The Staged Concert,” recorded at London’s Sondheim Theatre in 2020; and Stephen Schwartz’s “Snapshots,” a new musical created from Schwartz’s well-known songs.

The eligibility period for the 2022 Grammy Awards ran from Sept. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, a period which encompassed much of the Broadway shutdown as well as the closure of theaters around the world.

The Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held Jan. 31, 2022, with the pre-telecast ceremony for the non-televised categories to be held earlier that day.

In addition to the musical categories, Spike Lee’s film of David Byrne’s “American Utopia” was nominated for Best Music Film.
