“The Great Gatsby,” the Broadway musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, will receive a North American touring production. The road staging will officially open on Jan. 31, 2026 for a run through Feb. 7 at Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre, a venue managed by an affiliate of Broadway Across America. The tour will then play more than 50 cities from coast to coast.

News of the tour comes on the heels of upcoming West End and Seoul production announcements and the kickoff of the centennial celebration of the 1925 novel on which the musical is based.

“As we celebrate the centennial of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s timeless story, we couldn’t be more thrilled for the next significant chapter of our journey with the upcoming tour,” said producer Chunsoo Shin in a statement. “‘The Great Gatsby’ has been embraced with such amazing enthusiasm on Broadway, solidifying its place as a true fan favorite. With generations already familiar with the book and movies, I am beyond excited for audiences across the country to be mesmerized by the glitz and glamour of seeing musical theater at its finest.”

Director Marc Bruni added, “After seeing the way our musical has resonated with audiences and broken box office records at the Broadway Theatre, I’m thrilled to celebrate the centennial of Fitzgerald’s classic novel with a national tour that will allow those around the country to witness the spectacularly opulent work of my collaborators. Now everyone across North America is invited to the party!”

Set in the 1920s, the musical follows the eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby, who will stop at nothing in the pursuit of the lost love of his youth, Daisy Buchanan. “The Great Gatsby” has a book by Kait Kerrigan and a score by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen. The Main Stem staging began previews on March 29 and opened on April 25 at the Broadway Theatre.

In addition to Shin, the North American tour of “The Great Gatsby” is being produced by OD Company and NETworks Presentations, with Mark Shacket and Mimi Intagliata serving as executive producers and worldwide management by Foresight Theatrical.
