Evan Yionoulis has been elected executive board president of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
Yionoulis is an Obie Award-winning director, who was recently appointed the Richard Rodgers Director of the Drama Division of The Juilliard School. She will serve a three-year term as executive board president for the stage directors and choreographers’ union.
She takes over the role from director Pam MacKinnon.
“Evan is a deep thinker, hugely knowledgeable of our contracts, our By-laws, our craft, our Members’ needs. She is a perfect president for these fast and complicated times,” MacKinnon said in the press release.
