Eva Noblezada sets final performance date in ‘The Great Gatsby’

The Broadway musical also announces celebrations tied to the centennial of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel on which the musical is based.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada will depart Broadway’s “The Great Gatsby” on Jan. 30, 2025. Noblezada stars as Daisy Buchanan in the musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel. A replacement for the role will be announced.

Additionally, the musicals producers have announced that on Jan. 16, 2025, “The Great Gatsby” will host a benefit in partnership with the New York Public Library to celebrate the the centennial of the book, which was published in 1925. The festivities will begin with a gala performance of the show at the Broadway Theatre, followed by party at the library with all proceeds benefiting the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Noblezada’s departure coincides with other previously announced casting changes. Jeremy Jordan, who plays Jay Gatsby, will play his final performance on Jan. 19, 2025; Ryan McCarten will step into the role beginning on Jan. 21. Eric Anderson, who plays Wolfsheim, will leave the production on Jan. 5; Terrence Mann will take over for a limited run beginning on Jan. 8.

The cast of “The Great Gatsby” also features Noah J. Ricketts as Nick Carraway, Samantha Pauly as Jordan Baker, Sara Chase as Myrtle Wilson, John Zdrojeski as Tom Buchanan and Charlie Pollock as George Wilson.

Directed by Marc Bruni, “The Great Gatsby” features a book by Kait Kerrigan, music by Jason Howland and lyrics by Nathan Tysen. The musical began previews on March 29 and opened on April 25.
