Bond Group Entertainment, Linden Productions, 51 Entertainment and Seaview have acquired the stage rights to Eliza Kennedy’s book “Lucky Night.” Kennedy, whose other works include “I Take You” and “Do This for Me,” will write the stage adaptation of her novel. The news comes ahead of the novel’s March publication date from Crown Publishing Group.
“Lucky Night” follows paramours Nick Holloway and Jenny Parrish on their first night together following a six-year-long affair that has depended on stolen hours here and there. The duo is forced to reckon with their desires, past mistakes and undecided future.
Seaview is a Tony Award-winning production company of theater and film, co-founded by Greg Nobile and Jana Shea. The organization won Tonys as producers of 2024’s “Stereophonic” and the 2023 revival of “Parade.” Seaview is represented on Broadway in the 2024-2025 season with the recently closed “Once Upon A Mattress,” the currently running “All In: Comedy About Love,” “Eureka Day” (a Manhattan Theatre Club production in special arrangement with Seaview and others) and “Romeo + Juliet,” as well as the upcoming “Good Night, and Good Luck” and “The Last Five Years.”
Bond Group Entertainment is a production company founded by Oscar-nominated actor Amy Adams. The company also produced a revival of “The Glass Menagerie” starring Adams in London’s West End. Linden Productions was founded by Nicole King and Stacy O’Neil with partners JoAnne Colonna and Riva Marker. Linden previously teamed up with Seaview to produce “Stereophonic,” marking Linden’s Main Stem producing debut. 51 Entertainment was founded by Lynette Howell Taylor and previously produced Broadway’s “POTUS” — also alongside Seaview.
