Daniel J. Watts will return to “Tina” as Ike Turner, starring opposite Adrienne Warren.
In addition to Watts and Warren, who will be returning to “Tina” for a limited engagement, the cast includes returning members Dawnn Lewis as Zelma, Lucretia Taylor as Gran Georgeanna and Jessica Rush as Rhonda. Nkeki Obi-Melekwe will return to play Tina Turner at some performances.
“Tina” is currently scheduled to resume performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Oct. 8.
The ensemble will feature Juliet Benn, Steven Booth, Nick Rashad Burroughs, Gerald Caesar, Julius Chase, Ayla Ciccone-Burton, Holli’ Conway, Kayla Davion, Leandra Ellis-Gaston, Charlie Franklin, Judith Franklin, Matthew Griffin, Ari Groover, Sheldon Henry, David Jennings, Ross Lekites, Robert Lenzi, Rob Marnell, Jhardon DiShon Milton, NaTonia Monet, Phierce Phoenix, Justin Schuman, Allysa Shorte, Eric Siegle, Carla Stewart, Jayden Theophile, Skye Dakota Turner and Katie Webber.
“Tina” is produced by Stage Entertainment, James L. Nederlander and Tali Pelman, in association with Tina Turner. The musical features a book by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins and direction by Phyllida Lloyd.
