Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who will star in the upcoming film adaptation of Broadway’s “Wicked,” will visit five cities around the globe in conjunction with the Nov. 22 release of the two-part movie’s first part. In each city, including London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York City and Sydney, a different location featured in the film will be re-created.
Additional cast members of the film, including Jeff Goldblum, will join Erivo and Grande, in select cities of the tour, dubbed the “Journey Through Oz.”
This series of events is another of many recently announced partnerships and activations of the “Wicked” movie. Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will offer an interactive experience, while Aerie, Betty Crocker, Mattel and Lego all announced plans to release Wicked-themed merchandise.
In addition to Erivo, Grande and Goldbum, the “Wicked” movie cast will feature Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Marissa Bode and Ethan Slater. The film is directed by Jon M. Chu.
