Caroline Barnard has been named Concord Theatricals’ new executive vice president of business and legal affairs. Barnard replaces Victoria Traube, who, as previously announced, stepped down from the position in August, to serve as a consultant for the licensing house.

Barnard will lead Concord’s business and legal affairs department. She will also oversee legal matters related to the work of Rodgers and Hammerstein theatricals, one of the organization’s imprints.

“I’m honored to lead the business and legal affairs team during this exciting period for Concord Theatricals,” said Barnard in a statement. “I look forward to working with Sean Flahaven and the rest of the Theatricals team, as well as with Amanda Molter and the general counsel’s office, to support Concord’s work across the theater industry and to provide the highest level of service to our authors, clients and customers.”

This appointment is the second promotion for Barnard. She joined Concord in 2018 as vice president, and was named senior vice president in 2022. Before beginning at Concord, Barnard served as vice president of professional licensing for the Musical Company, a joint effort between Concord and the Really Useful Group. Previously, Barnard held an eight-year tenure as an associate in the corporate and entertainment departments at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.

“Caroline is a brilliant attorney and strategic advisor, and we have been very fortunate to have her as a collaborator for seven years,” said Flahaven, Concord’s chief theatricals executive. “I’m looking forward to continuing to work closely with her on our many projects in licensing, publishing, recording and producing.”

In addition to Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatricals, Concord’s catalog of imprints includes Samuel French, Tams-Witmark and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection.
