Concord Theatricals has announced the acquisition of the global licensing rights to “Job” by Max Wolf Friedlich. “Job” is now available for licensing through Samuel French, an imprint of Concord.

Previews of the previously announced Friedlich psychological thriller will begin on July 15 at Broadway’s Hayes Theater. The Michael Herwitz-directed two-hander will open on July 30 and is scheduled for a limited engagement through Sept. 29. “Job” stars Peter Friedman and Sydney Lemmon, who will reprise their performances from the play’s fall 2023 run at Soho Playhouse and winter 2024 run at the Connelly Theater.

“Job” chronicles big tech employee Jane (Lemmon), who seeks the help of therapist Loyd (Friedman) after she is put on leave from her company. Jane is determined to return to her job, however, Loyd suspects her work may be doing more harm than good.

In addition to Samuel French, Concord’s licensing includes R&H Theatricals, Tams-Witmark and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection. Recent licensing acquisitions include 2023 Best Musical Tony Award nominee “Some Like It Hot,” Amy Herzog’s Tony-nominated adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” and multiple solo works by Mike Birbiglia. As previously announced, Concord was awarded the Dramatist Guild’s inaugural Konecky Award in May.

“Job” is being produced on Broadway by Hannah Getts, Alex Levy, Craig Balsam and P3 Productions.
