“Chicken & Biscuits” has announced the full cast for its upcoming Broadway run.
New cast members include NaTasha Yvette Williams (“Waitress”) and Cleo King (“Mike & Molly”) and Devere Rogers (“The Robber Bridegroom”), who are both making their Broadway debuts. They join previously announced cast members Norm Lewis and Michael Urie.
The new play, written by Douglas Lyons and directed by Zhailon Levingston, begins previews at Circle in the Square Theatre on Sept. 23, with an opening night Oct. 10. The limited engagement runs through Jan. 2, 2022.
The production will also mark the Broadway debuts of Ebony Marshall-Oliver (“Merry Wives of Windsor” at the Public Theater), Aigner Mizzelle and Alana Raquel Bowers (“What to Send Up When it Goes Down”), who are reprising their roles from the play’s world premiere at Queens Theatre.
The show’s creative team includes scenic designer Lawrence E. Moten III, costume designer Dede Ayite, lighting designer Adam Honoré and sound designer Twi McCallum. Pamela Ross, Hunter Arnold, E. Clayton Cornelious and Leah Michalos are the producers.
