Charli D’Amelio will make her Broadway debut in “& Juliet.” The dancer and social media influencer will step into the ensemble role of Charmian beginning on Oct. 29, playing a limited engagement through Jan. 19, 2025 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. D’Amelio will succeed Bex Robinson, who will play her final performance in the role on Oct. 27.
Following years as a competitive dancer, D’Amelio began posting dance videos on TikTok in 2019, becoming the platform’s most-followed user for two years. She won the 31st season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Along with her parents and siblings, D’Amelio stars in the Hulu reality series “The D’Amelio Show.” “& Juliet” will mark her Main Stem debut.
“I’m beyond excited to join the Broadway community — it’s a dream I’ve had since I was a little girl,” D’Amelio said in a statement. “To be able to make my Broadway debut — especially in the cast of ‘& Juliet’, is truly a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone.”
The current principal cast of “& Juliet” includes Maya Boyd as Juliet, Paulo Szot as Lance, Betsy Wolfe as Anne, Drew Gehlig as Shakespeare, Justin David Sullivan as May, Jeannette Bayardelle as Angélique, Ben Jackson Walker as Romeo and Philippe Arroyo as Francois.
