“& Juliet” will welcome Charity Angél Dawson to the cast as she takes on the role of Angélique. The actor will assume the principal role on Jan. 2, 2024, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. She succeeds original star Melanie La Barrie, who also originated the role in London and will play her final performance on Dec. 30.

Dawson made her Broadway debut in 2014’s revival of “Side Show,” and has since appeared in “Chicago” as well as the original and return engagements of both “Waitress” and “Mrs. Doubtfire.”
