“Death Becomes Her” has revealed complete casting for its Broadway premiere. The previously announced musical, directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, will begin previews on Oct. 23 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre ahead of a Nov. 21 opening night.

The newly announced ensemble includes Marija Abney, Sarita Colon, Kaleigh Cronin, Natalie Charle Ellis, Taurean Everett, Michael Graceffa, Neil Haskell, Kolton Krouse, Josh Lamon, Sarah Meahl, Sir Brock Warren, Bud Weber, Ryan Worsing and Warren Yang, all of whom appeared in the production’s spring 2024 premiere in Chicago. New to the company for the Broadway run are ensemblists Lauren Celentano and Ximone Rose. Completing the cast will be swings Kyle Brown, Lakota Knuckle, Johanna Moise and Amy Quanbeck.

They join a previously announced principal cast of Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, Christopher Sieber and Michelle Williams, all of whom will reprise their performances from the Chicago engagement. Casting is by Tara Rubin Casting.

Featuring a book by Marco Pennette and a score by Julia Matteson and Noel Carey, “Death Becomes Her” is based on the Universal Pictures film of the same name, which was released on July 31, 1992. The musical chronicles the escapades of adversaries Madeline Ashton (Hilty) and Helen Sharp (Simard) who, after taking a magical potion promising eternal youth, face off for the love and attention of the same man (Sieber).

“Death Becomes Her” is being produced by Universal Theatrical Group, overseen by Jimmy Horowitz and led by Lowe Cunningham. Marcia Goldberg will serve as executive producer.
