“Carousel” will close on Sept. 16, about five months after it opened on Broadway.
The revival, produced by Roy Furman and Scott Rudin, began playing previews at the Imperial Theatre on Feb. 28, 2018 and opened on April 12. The musical won Tony Awards for Best Featured Actress and for Best Choreography.
The musical’s grosses have been dipping recently, bringing in $675,660, reaching 42% of its gross potential, in the week ended Aug. 5. It reached a high of $1.29 million in the week ended April 29.
The production was capitalized for $15.25 million, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
