Caissie Levy, John Cariani, Chip Zien and more are joining the Broadway company of “Caroline, or Change.”
They join the previously announced Sharon D. Clarke, playing Caroline. Levy, who comes to the role after playing Elsa in “Frozen,” will play Rose Stopnick Gellman, Cariani will play Stuart Gellman and Zien will play Mr. Stopnick.
The cast will also include Alexander Bello as Joe Thibodeaux, Arica Jackson as Washing Machine, Tamika Lawrence as Dotty Moffett, Harper Miles as Radio 3, Jonah Mussolino as Noah Gellman, Nya as Radio 2, Chinua Payne as Jackie Thibodeaux, Nasia Thomas as Radio 1 and Stuart Zagnit as Grandpa Gellman.
The revival of “Caroline, or Change” which features a book and lyrics by Tony Kushner and music by Jeanine Tesori, is directed by Michael Longhurst and choreographed by Ann Yee. The musical begins performances at Studio 54 on March 13, 2020, with an opening night on April 7.
The production comes to Broadway after a run on the West End. The Broadway production is produced by Roundabout Theatre with Ambassador Theatre Group, Benjamin Lowy Productions, Gavin Kalin Productions, Glass Half Full Productions and Nine Stories Productions.
