The Broadway play “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” has announced a special incentive for early ticket purchasers. Individuals who purchase tickets to the new play before Sept. 30 will receive a 30-day subscription to Netflix, the streaming service which serves as a producer alongside Sonia Friedman Productions.

The show will offer one gifted subscription for the Netflix Standard Plan per ticket order. The subscription must be redeemed by Sept. 30, 2025. The offer is available to individuals in the U.S. and U.K. who do not already have a Netflix account.

Ticket buyers with a Mastsercard, the production’s payments partner, will have early access to a presale on Sept. 13 beginning at 11 a.m. ET. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. ET.

The previously announced Main Stem mounting of Kate Trefry’s “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” a transfer from London’s West End, will begin previews on March 28, 2025 and open on April 22 at the Marquis Theatre. Stephen Daldry will direct and Justin Martin will co-direct the production, which is based on an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Trefry.

The science fiction series “Stranger Things” premiered on Netflix in 2016. The fifth and final season will debut in 2025. “The First Shadow” serves as a prequel to the events of the television series, following the young inhabitants of the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, as the arrival of a new student turns their world upside down.
