Sotheby’s, the British-founded auction house for fine art, jewelry and collectibles, will host a performance from the cast of the upcoming Broadway musical “Lempicka.” A first of its kind for the centuries-old institution, the performance will take place on Jan. 17 at the Sotheby’s Upper East Side location on 1334 York Avenue.

Eden Espinosa, who is set to play the titular character in the new musical about Polish art deco painter Tamara de Lempicka, will serve as host of the invitation-only event. However, the general public is invited to enter a free lottery on the TodayTix app for a chance to attend.

Sotheby’s has also announced an event titled “The World of Tamara — A Celebration of ‘Lempicka’ and Art Deco.” The auction and exhibition will feature art by Lempicka as well as other art deco works. The selling exhibition will open on March 28 and run through April 16.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the legacy of Tamara de Lempicka whose distinctive style continues to shape culture today,” said Julian Dawes, Sotheby’s head of impressionist and modern art, Americas, in a statement. “A pioneer in her own right, Lempicka has received remarkable success, and it is an honor to present a range of her works alongside iconic examples of art deco.”

As previously announced, the Rachel Chavkin-helmed production of “Lempicka” will begin previews on March 19 and open on April 14 at the Longacre Theatre. “Lempicka” features book and lyrics by Carson Kreitzer, book and music by Matt Gould, choreography by Raja Feather Kelly and musical supervision by Remy Kurs.
