“Job” has partnered with Broadway for All (BFA), a nonprofit which provides Broadway resources, opportunities and programming to emerging artists. Together, they are launching what is being called the Next Gen Ticketing Initiative. The program will offer free tickets to “Job” on Broadway to emerging artists through BFA’s “Access for All” program, which provides historically excluded communities access to live theater and other performances.

The tickets are being made available from charitable donations totaling $100,000. Donors include “Job” playwright Max Wolf Friedlich and director Michael Herwitz.

“When we had our world premiere last fall, aside from our beloved Peter Friedman, the oldest person on the ‘Job’ team was 35 years old, Friedlich said in a statement. “Now that we are at the Hayes, it is important for other emerging artists to see that there is a place for their work on Broadway. Thanks to a team of amazing donors and in partnership with Broadway for All, we are able to make that dream a reality.”

“Creativity fosters creativity. We’re grateful to everyone associated with ‘Job’ for recognizing the importance of sharing this work with the next generation of theater makers,” added BFA artistic director and Tony Award-winning producer Osh Ashruf. “One evening of great theater can impact a lifetime in the arts.”

Friedlich and “Job” producer and dramaturg Hannah Getts recently spoke to Broadway News about the importance of marketing theater to a new generation of theatergoers.

Set in a single therapy session, “Job” follows Jane (Sydney Lemmon), desperate to gain therapist-approval to return to her job at a tech company. Loyd (Peter Friedman), however, is concerned her work may be doing more harm than good. Following two Off-Broadway productions in fall 2023 and winter 2024, “Job” opened on Broadway on July 30 at the Hayes Theater. The production recently extended its limited run, and will close on Oct. 27.

“Job” is produced by Getts, Alex Levy, Craig Balsam and P3 Productions.
