Broadway’s participation in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been confirmed. The 98th edition of the parade will be broadcast on NBC and simulcast on Peacock from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in all time zones.

In addition to the traditional parade floats and marching bands, the annual event will feature performances from Broadway shows, including “Death Becomes Her,” “Hell’s Kitchen” and 2024 Best Musical Tony Award winner “The Outsiders.”

Other Broadway alumni will make separate appearances, including Tony winners Idina Menzel and Lea Salonga, as well as Main Stem alums Jonathan Bennett, Liza Colón-Zayas, Ariana Madix, Ginna Claire Mason, Joey McIntyre and Tiler Peck. Charli D’Amelio, currently featured in the ensemble of “& Juliet,” and Sebastián Yatra, who is slated to make his Broadway debut in “Chicago” just days before the parade, will also appear.

The 2024 parade will include 5,000 volunteers, 17 featured character balloons, 22 floats, 15 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 11 marching bands and 10 performance groups.

“The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a beloved tradition that marks the beginning of the holiday season for millions of live spectators and viewers across the country,” said Will Coss, the parade’s executive producer, in a statement. “A dedicated team of artisans and production experts at Macy’s Studios work year-round to bring this experience to life. This year’s 98th Macy’s Parade will create awe with unforgettable character balloons, one-of-a-kind floats and the world-class entertainment only Macy’s can deliver.”

The parade will start marching from 77th Street and Central Park West, and will process down to the Macy’s flagship store located in Herald Square.

Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will return as hosts of the broadcast. NBC will air an encore broadcast at 2 p.m. ET/PT. A Spanish-language simulcast, hosted by Carlos Adyan and Andrea Meza, will air on Telemundo. A broadcast featuring live audio description will air on the Secondary Audio Program channel.
