In a partnership with When We All Vote, “Hamilton” has released the new song “The Election of 2024.” The anthem, performed by current company members of “Hamilton,” urges citizens to register to vote. The song’s release coincides with National Voter Registration Day, Sept. 17, and aims to increase voter turnout at the 2024 presidential election on Nov. 5.

“The Election of 2024” is a nod to the “Hamilton” act-two song “The Election of 1800.” “The Election of 2024” features lyrics by Kurt Crowley and the original music by “Hamilton” author Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also serves as a co-chair of When We All Vote.

The song is presented with Ham4Progress, a collective of “Hamilton” cast and crew members, who aim to ensure all citizens register to vote, check their voter registration status and make a plan to vote (in-person or absentee). “The Election of 2024” features the vocal talent of Amanda Braun, Chloë Campbell, Marc delaCruz, Jared Dixon, Julia Estrada, Alexander Ferguson, Tamar Greene, Johanna Moise, Willie “Tré” Smith, Gabriella Sorrentino, Ebrin R. Stanley, Cherry Torres and Morgan Anita Wood.

Additionally, “Hamilton” has released a special set of merchandise, the Hamilton Vote Collection. The collection of T-shirts, hats, stickers, buttons and bags features the phrases “I’m not throwing away my shot to vote” and “History has its eyes on you” in designs created by Selena Saldívar. The merchandise is available at the Broadway Merchandise Shop, the Richard Rodgers Theatre and the road houses which host the touring companies of “Hamilton.” Portions of the proceeds will benefit When We All Vote, VoteRiders and Vote Forward.
