Broadway’s box office up 26% year over year; nearly every show rises in attendance

For the week ending Sept. 15, the 28 currently running productions grossed $27,262,406.

Following the usual post-Labor Day weekend drop, Broadway’s box office bounced back during the week ending Sept. 15. Collective gross for the 28 currently running shows totaled $27,262,406, a 7.1% increase from the previous week when 26 shows were playing. Attendance for week 17 of the 2024-2025 season tallied 234,635 admissions, up 6.4%. Capacity increased 2.7%, with 93.7% of available seats in theaters filled. Notably, this week encompassed the second week of NYC Broadway Week, a promotion offering two-for-one tickets.
