The Broadway merchandise shop One Shubert Alley will reopen on Dec. 17. The store previously announced it would close permanently on Oct. 2, but soon thereafter the Araca Group merchandise division announced it would take over management following a renovation.
Located, aptly, in Shubert Alley between the Shubert and Booth theaters, One Shubert Alley has been under the ownership of the Shubert Organization for decades. (In fact, it was once a dressing room for the Booth Theatre.) Under the new arrangement, the Broadway landlord will maintain ownership of the retailer, but will transfer its operations to Araca.
The opening of the refurbished store follows a recently established partnership between the Shubert Organization and Araca Merchandise, which works with theater, music, film and television studio partners to strengthen brand presence through product.
One Shubert Alley will feature special product drops and sell exclusive show-specific merchandise — from shows like “Wicked” and “Kimberly Akimbo” —and One Shubert Alley-branded items.
One Shubert Alley will be open seven days a week: Mondays 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Thursdays 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The shop will be closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 31. and Jan. 1, 2023, with adjusted hours on Dec. 24 and 26.
